Two police officers martyred in South Waziristan and Lakki Marwat shootings

Search operation underway to arrest suspects after both incidents

Two police officers were martyred, and another was injured in separate shootings by unidentified assailants in South Waziristan and Lakki Marwat.

South Waziristan

According to police, Constable Imran was martyred in a shooting by unknown attackers in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan.

He was on his way home from duty when he was targeted. Following the incident, police launched a search operation to apprehend the suspects.

Lakki Marwat

In a separate attack, unidentified gunmen opened fire in the Mir Alam Manjiwala area within the jurisdiction of the City Police Station in Lakki Marwat, killing Head Constable Ihsanullah and injuring Constable Rafiullah.

A police spokesperson confirmed that both officers sustained critical injuries and were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Sarai Naurang. However, Head Constable Ihsanullah succumbed to his injuries.

Following the attack, law enforcement officials reached the crime scene and initiated a search operation to track down the perpetrators.
