The threat of bird flu is intensifying in the US and Europe, with the virus now spreading to humans following its impact on livestock.

Experts warn that the risk of human-to-human transmission is on the rise, raising concerns about the potential for a larger outbreak.

The report states that bird flu was found in a flock on a farm in northern Britain, and after the outbreak of bird flu, egg prices in the US skyrocketed.

The report further mentions that millions of chickens have been killed in the US due to bird flu, with 170 million chickens and turkeys having died since 2022. The US has doubled its egg imports from Brazil.

Another report revealed that, for the first time in the UK, bird flu symptoms have appeared in a sheep. This disease was discovered during regular animal inspections on a farm where birds had already been affected by bird flu.
