President Zardari vows to combat fifth-generation warfare on Pakistan Day
President Asif Ali Zardari, addressing the Pakistan Day ceremony, emphasized that fifth-generation warfare poses a significant challenge and vowed to counter forces spreading hatred and despair among the youth.
He highlighted the geopolitical challenges facing the country, stressing that the people of Pakistan stand firmly with the armed forces in defending the nation.
“We are a resilient nation capable of overcoming challenges. We will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for the protection of our homeland. We have successfully faced internal and external terrorism and will eradicate it from the root,” Zardari asserted.
Paying tribute to the martyrs, he remarked that millions of sacrifices turned the dream of Pakistan into a reality and renewed commitment to preserving freedom and sovereignty.
Referring to India, President Zardari said it has always viewed Pakistan with hostility, but Pakistan remains committed to becoming a strong, modern Islamic welfare state. He assured that the nation stands united with the armed forces to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
He also pledged to thwart the malicious designs of terrorist organizations like Fitna al-Khawarij and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people, expressing hope that Kashmir will one day be free.
Concluding his speech, President Zardari called for building a powerful and prosperous Pakistan through unity and determination.
