During a briefing in the Oval Office with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Trump revealed that the jet will feature its own fleet of collaborative combat drones, which will undertake various missions, including electronic warfare and reconnaissance.
Trump has awarded Boeing a contract reportedly worth around $20 billion to develop this next-generation air dominance program.
He emphasized that the F-47, which bears a name reflecting his tenure as the 47th president, boasts advanced stealth technology and unprecedented power.
The aircraft has reportedly been in development for nearly five years, with production already underway.
The President highlighted the F-47’s capabilities, stating it would serve as a “quarterback” for its accompanying drones and would establish a new era of air superiority.
