A police constable was shot dead while his young son was injured when unidentified assailants opened fire in the Dray Khulai area within the jurisdiction of Havid police station.

According to sources, the attackers targeted Constable Nasrullah, who was serving as a driver at Kaki police station.

The assailants fled the scene after the attack, leaving the officer dead and his son wounded.

The deceased officer and his injured child were immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital for medical treatment.

Following the incident, police and residents launched a search operation in the area to track down the perpetrators. Authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack.

Two injured in firing incidents in Khyber

Separately, two individuals were injured in firing incidents in Bara tehsil, Khyber, while the assailants managed to flee, police said.

According to local sources, unidentified gunmen opened fire in two different locations.

In the first incident, a man sustained injuries in Barkambar Khel, while in the second, a young man was shot and wounded in Shalobar.

Residents rushed the injured to the hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, police arrived at the crime scenes and have launched an investigation. Despite efforts, the suspects managed to escape.
