Dry weather expected in various areas of country: Met Office
The Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted dry weather for different areas in Pakistan on Friday (today).
“Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country,” the PMD said in its daily forecast.
However, the Met Office has also reported that day temperatures are likely to increase gradually over the plain areas of the country from March 21.
Most parts of the country are expected to be mainly dry, with daytime temperatures above normal in the plains on Saturday.
On Sunday, the PMD predicted dry weather in most of the country with daytime temperatures above normal in the plains.
Past 24 hour weather
Rainfall amounts (in mm) are as follows:
- In Kashmir, Rawalakot received 15 mm, Muzaffarabad had 4 mm at the airport and 3 mm in the city, and Garhi Dupatta recorded 2 mm.
- In Punjab, Islamabad saw 13 mm in Saidpur, 7 mm in the city, 5 mm at Golra, and 2 mm at Bokra.
- Murree received 11 mm, and Rawalpindi recorded 4 mm in Shamsabad, 3 mm in Chaklala, 2 mm at Katcheri, and 2 mm in Jhelum.
- In Gilgit Baltistan, Bagrote had 3 mm, while Kakul in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received 2 mm, and Barkhan in Balochistan recorded 1 mm.
