Sources further stated that security forces foiled the terrorists’ plans with swift and decisive action, ensuring the safety of the nation. They reiterated their commitment to eradicating terrorism and staying prepared for any future threats.

The attack occurred on March 11, when terrorists blew up a railway track in Bolan Pass and took more than 400 passengers hostage aboard Jaffar Express.

Despite logistical challenges due to the remote location, security forces launched a major operation in Dhadar, eliminating 16 attackers by nightfall.

By March 12, Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed that all hostages had been rescued and all 33 terrorists were killed.

However, before the operation commenced, the terrorists had already executed 21 civilians.
