NSC meeting: Sacrifices of martyrs cannot be forgotten, says PM; expresses gratitude to army chief

Addressing the National Security Committee meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that there is no place for terrorism on Pakistan’s soil and vowed to go to the last extent to eradicate it.

He expressed gratitude to the military leadership, especially the Army Chief, for their role in the fight against terrorism.

Speaking at the meeting held at Parliament House, the prime minister reaffirmed that Pakistan will be freed from terrorism at all costs.

He emphasised that terrorism has become a menace for the country, and the government will fully implement the counterterrorism strategy outlined by Parliament.

“It is Parliament’s responsibility to find a solution to this challenge,” he added.

The Prime Minister made it clear that the entire nation stands united against terrorism and that the country will defeat this scourge under all circumstances.

Paying tribute to the martyrs, he said, “We will never forget the sacrifices of our martyrs.”

He also honoured the security personnel who have laid down their lives in the fight against terrorism, acknowledging their continuous sacrifices.

“We pay tribute to our security forces who are relentlessly fighting this war,” he said.

The prime minister further highlighted that the country’s economy is on the path to improvement and assured that law and order will be maintained. He stressed that the political leadership is united on national security matters and fully committed to eliminating terrorism.
