PPP local body vice chairman shot dead in Karachi’s Dalmia Shanti Nagar
A local leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was shot dead in a targeted attack in the Dalmia Shanti Nagar area on Tuesday.
The victim, identified as Faik, was serving as a local body vice chairman.
According to police, two unidentified assailants opened fire on Faik, killing him on the spot.
The attack took place just moments before police arrived at the scene. Authorities suspect the killing is linked to an ongoing dispute between two rival groups in the area.
“A long-standing rivalry exists between these groups, and a similar murder had occurred here in the past,” a police official said.

The victim’s associates also believe the killing is part of the same conflict.
Senior police officials confirmed that an investigation is underway, and all possible angles are being examined.
“The police are present at the crime scene, and legal formalities are being completed,” said SSP East, adding that forensic analysis and witness statements will be key to identifying the perpetrators.
