Militants attack two police stations, checkpoint and Sui Gas office in Karak and Peshawar
Militants carried out ten attacks across different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the past 24 hours, resulting in the martyrdom of three police personnel and injuries to two others.
A civilian also lost his life, while three others were wounded in one of the incidents.
According to police sources, three attacks occurred in Peshawar, three in Karak, and one each in Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber, and Bajaur.
Late at night, militants targeted the Pajagi checkpoint in the jurisdiction of Peshawar’s Machni Gate police station, martyring Constable Nazar Ali.

In Karak, militants attacked the Takht-e-Nasrati police station, where Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Salam Noor was martyred. District Police Officer (DPO) Shahbaz Elahi stated that residents joined forces with the police to repel the attackers, who later managed to escape.
In the Isak Khumari area of Karak, militants assaulted a gas well, resulting in the martyrdom of a security officer and injuries to another. The injured officer was promptly shifted to Teri Hospital for treatment.
DPO Shahbaz Elahi confirmed that police thwarted two separate attacks on police stations in Karak. Armed militants launched heavy attacks on the Khurram police station and the Takht-e-Nasrati police station, but security forces courageously fought back, forcing the assailants to retreat.
The DPO added that one police officer was martyred in the attack on the Takht-e-Nasrati police station, while a security guard lost his life in the assault on the gas facility in Isak Khumari.
Police pursued the militants, targeting the gas installations, but they managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
DPO Shahbaz Elahi assured that police action forced the militants to flee, and the situation is now fully under control.
