Tribal leader Abdul Hafeez Mengal was killed when unidentified men opened fire at him in Balochistan’s Khuzdar on Saturday, rescue officials said.

He succumbed to his injuries after being taken to the Combined Military Hospital.

In another incident, at least 75 unidentified armed individuals attacked the police station in Ornach, Khuzdar, taking police weapons and a police mobile unit with them.

In the Ornach area of Khuzdar, the assailants stormed the police station, taking the staff hostage and caused significant damage. The attackers also surrounded the Ornach market.

No casualties were reported at the time of this story. But the armed individuals were reported to have seized all weapons from the police station and made off with one police mobile unit.
