Gold prices drop in Pakistan and global markets
Gold prices in Pakistan have decreased in accordance with falling international rates.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola fell to Rs306,000 after a decline of Rs1,000 on Saturday.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price for 10 grams of gold was recorded at Rs262,345, representing a drop of Rs858.
Despite the decrease in local prices, the international gold rate increased on Saturday.
The APGJSA reported the rate at $2,910 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20, marking a decrease of $11 during the day.
Additionally, the price of silver also fell, decreasing by Rs12 to settle at Rs3,388 per tola.
On Friday, the price per tola had risen by Rs3,000, reaching Rs307,000.
