PM finalises consultation on ministerial portfolios
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has completed consultations regarding the distribution of ministerial portfolios among newly appointed ministers and advisers, with official announcements expected on Thursday.
According to sources, Adviser Mohammad Ali is likely to be assigned the Privatisation Ministry, while Federal Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik may receive the Petroleum Ministry.
Dr Musadik Malik is expected to take charge of the Climate Change Ministry.
Additionally, Dr Tauqeer is likely to be given the Cabinet and Establishment Division, Hanif Abbasi may be appointed as Minister for Railways, and Mustafa Kamal is expected to lead the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Other potential appointments include Raza Hayat Harraj for Parliamentary Affairs, Khalid Magsi for Water Resources, and Pervez Khattak for Inter-Provincial Coordination.
Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry is expected to head the Health Ministry, while Shiza Fatima may be given the IT Ministry.
A total of eleven ministers of state will also be assigned various ministries.
Meanwhile, discontent is brewing within PML-N’s Balochistan leadership, as senior members, including Jamal Shah Kakar, Sardar Yaqub Nasir, and Mian Khan Bugti, have expressed dissatisfaction over being sidelined in the cabinet expansion.
Party members have raised concerns that priority was given to new entrants rather than long-time loyalists.
