Robbers on the loose in Karachi: 30-year-old Rehan shot dead in Manzoor Colony
Karachi continues to grapple with rising street crimes, as armed robbers claimed yet another life.
In Manzoor Colony, 30-year-old Rehan was shot and killed while resisting a robbery.
He was sitting outside his home with friends when armed assailants attempted to snatch their mobile phones. When Rehan fought back, the robbers opened fire, killing him on the spot.
The incident took place near Shaheen Park in Manzoor Colony’s Sector 6, within the jurisdiction of the Baloch Colony police station.

Five armed robbers, riding two motorcycles, surrounded the victims. CCTV footage shows the suspects firing indiscriminately after Rehan managed to grab one of them. So far this year, robbers have killed at least 15 people in the city.
Meanwhile, in Korangi’s Mehran Town, 18-year-old Mudassir was shot and injured during another robbery.

In a separate incident, two armed men in Clifton Block 2 snatched Rs 800,000 from a citizen who had just withdrawn cash from a bank.
The victim, identified as transporter Asif Shah, was targeted outside the bank within the jurisdiction of Boat Basin police station.
CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, highlighting the growing lawlessness in the city.
