Federal cabinet expands as new ministers take oath
The federal cabinet has been expanded with the addition of 27 new members, as President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath in a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The newly inducted members include 13 federal ministers, 11 ministers of state, and three advisers.
Among those sworn in as federal ministers are Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Mustafa Kamal, Hanif Abbasi, Junaid Anwar, Shaza Fatima, and Ali Pervaiz Malik.
Others include Moeen Wattoo, Sardar Yousuf, Aurangzeb Ghachi, Rana Mubashir, and Raza Hayat Harraj.

The ministers of state sworn in include Barrister Aqeel Malik, Malik Rashid, Kheal Das, Talal Chaudhry, Bilal Kiani, Abdul Rehman Kanjo, Mukhtar Bhurt, Shizra Mansab, Aun Chaudhry, and Wajiha Qamar.
Additionally, Mohammad Ali, Dr Syed Tauqir Shah, and Pervez Khattak have been appointed as advisers to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Joint session of Parliament on March 10
Meanwhile, President Zardari has decided to convene a joint session of Parliament on March 10 to mark the beginning of the new parliamentary year.
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has sent the official summary to the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to sources, President Zardari will address the session, formally inaugurating the new legislative term. Following the joint session, the National Assembly will convene on March 11.
