Reham Khan expresses sympathy for PTI voters, supporters
Rehman Khan, the former wife of jailed ex-prime minister Imran Khan, has expressed her sympathy for the voters and supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
“Many educated women from respectable families are part of the PTI. But the party’s leadership has failed to communicate effectively with its supporters,” she said at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Saturday. “The part wants to appoint its judges while ignoring the public’s need for representation.”
She went on to add, “My soft corner is for the people.”
Imran and Reham divorced with mutual consent after 10 months of marriage in 2015. The PTI founder had described it as “painful” for him and sought privacy from everyone.
Reham claimed that if the PTI leadership had “genuine sympathy” for its supporters, the situation would be “different.” She alleged that television channels were pro-PTI and referred to Imran as the “Prime Minister of Facebook,” suggesting that he still holds influence on social media platforms.
She also noted that the military and “other powerful entities” were not engaging in competition.

Rehman, a former journalist, was of the view that politicians could not be blamed for everything. She expressed her frustration with “sensational” news coverage.
She also spoke critically about US President Donald Trump, highlighting Trump’s loyalty to his friends. She mentioned that various influential figures, including owners of major companies like X (formerly Twitter), Amazon, Meta, and TikTok, were among his friends.
Reham further commented on the political landscape in Pakistan, stating that no “favoured individual” has been held in jail for as long as Imran Khan. She criticized the practice of transferring the director general of the ISI for “personal matters,” implying that such traditions undermine the integrity of institutions.
