Anchorperson Reham Khan to take part in country’s politics

Says the PTI is finished without Imran Khan
Exclusive Interview of Reham Khan - Dus with Imran Sultan - Aaj News

Anchorperson Reham Khan has said that she returned to Pakistan with a new resolve and wants to contribute to the politics of the country.

“I would have contributed to journalism but I think there is censorship on me,” she told Imran Sultan during her appearance on Aaj TV show Dus.

Talking about her marriage and divorce from PTI chief Imran Khan, she said that she has taken it as a learning experience and a life lesson. “I do feel that it was something I was meant to do, unpleasant as it might be.”

She was of the view that the destruction of the country’s economy was planned somewhere else.

Reham criticised both former governments of PTI and the PDM for failing in taking measures to stabilise the economy.

Talking about the alleged diary of Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, she said that nobody should be made a scapegoat.

“If that diary actually belongs to her [Bushra Bibi], what does it say about the chairman of PTI?” she added.

Reham called Khan responsible for all the actions done during his tenure in the federal government.

“Ultimately the buck should stop at the leader.”

Responding to a question regarding the future of PTI, Reham said that the party is finished without Imran Khan.

“Ultimately who attracts votes will have to do a campaign. It was the problem with the PTI. It was not a party, it was a one-man show,” she added.

She said that the May 9 riots were pre-planned and a conspiracy to destabilise the country. The risk is still there and there is a need to address it with all the seriousness, she added.

Reham also highlighted the trolling she faced from PTI social media, saying that those who interviewed her were also subjected to trolling.
