Gold still too expensive as prices increase in Pakistan
The price of 24-karat per tola gold increased by Rs1,000 and was sold at Rs308,000 on Saturday against its sale at Rs307,000 on previous trading day, the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association said.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs857 to Rs264,060 from Rs263,203 whereas that of 10 grams of 22-karat went up by Rs785 to Rs242,063 from Rs241,278.
The price of per tola silver decreased by Rs50 to Rs3,380 and that of 10 grams went down by Rs43 to Rs2,897.
The gold price in the international market increased by $6 to $2,936 from $2,930 whereas the prices of silver in the international market declined by $0.5 to $32.44, the association added.
