Suspected killer lynched by mob in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Abbottabad
A suspected killer was lynched by a mob in the presence of police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Abbottabad on Saturday, as they failed to control the situation.
The person was killed in the Sambar area under the jurisdiction of Changla Gali Police Station.
An enraged crowd attacked the alleged killer following the murder of Imran Abbasi and injury to another, despite the police’s presence on the scene, witnesses said.
Authorities have struggled to control the mob, leading to heightened tensions in the area.
Earlier, the victim’s relatives had staged a protest, leading to enraged individuals setting fire to the office of a private society.
The perpetrator had fled the scene after committing the crime. Demonstrators had insisted on the “immediate capture” of the assailant while the motive behind the murder remained unclear.
