Champions Trophy 2025: Pakistan cricket team arrives in Dubai for clash against India

After losing their opening match, Pakistan’s cricket team arrived in Dubai for their highly anticipated Champions Trophy 2025 clash against India.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is underway, with arch-rivals Pakistan and India set to face off in a high-voltage encounter on Sunday, February 23.

Pakistan’s squad travelled to Dubai on a Pakistan Air Force aircraft, accompanied by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is also with the team to oversee preparations for the marquee match.

According to PCB, the national team will rest today before resuming practice at the ICC Academy tomorrow.

Fakhar out, Imam-ul-Haq in

Pakistan suffered a major setback with Fakhar Zaman ruled out of the tournament due to injury. He sustained the injury during the first match against New Zealand and was unable to recover.

In response, team management included Imam-ul-Haq as Fakhar’s replacement, with the ICC’s technical committee approving his addition to the squad. Imam will fly to Dubai tomorrow to join the team.

Fakhar was injured while fielding in the opening over against New Zealand. Though he attempted to return to the field and later batted, he remained in discomfort, forcing his withdrawal from the tournament.
