KP authorities seal 51 health care outlets in drive against quackery
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Care Commission (KP HCC) has conducted inspections of 520 health care establishments (HCEs) across the province over the past two weeks and sealed at least 51 outlets in a driver against quackery.
Additionally, three HCEs were issued show-cause notices for various violations.
According to a statement from KP HCC spokesperson Azm Rehman, 226 HCEs were registered in the last fortnight. The Commission also held one awareness session and five seminars at various educational institutions to educate the public about its role and responsibilities.
The Commission received 39 complaints from citizens regarding different HCEs, of which 32 were resolved in accordance with regulations, while seven remain pending. Three hospitals and four GP and specialist clinics were assessed, with one hospital receiving its full license.

The Director of Registration at KP HCC emphasized that improving the health care standards for the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the Commission’s primary focus. Officers have been instructed to take strict action against any health care providers involved in malpractices.
