Former federal minister Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi arrested
Former federal minister Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi was arrested on Monday after he failed to appear in court, police said.
A case had been registered against Jatoi for allegedly firing at a polling station during the last general elections. He has been accused of allegedly being part of a conspiracy kill a man named Bilawal Zardari, not to be confused with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
They noted that a murder case against the suspect was under trial, but he had “repeatedly failed to appear in court.”
Officials indicated that non-bailable warrants were issued against Jatoi, which prompted the action. He is scheduled to be presented in a terrorism court on the February 27.
