Justice Dogar assumes office as acting chief justice of Islamabad High Court
Justice Sarfraz Dogar assumed the office as the Islamabad High Court’s acting chief justice on Thursday and has moved to courtroom number one to begin hearing cases.
He was appointed as IHC’s acting chief justice following the elevation of Justice Aamir Farooq to the Supreme Court. The law ministry issued the notification of his appointment last night.
In addition to Justice Dogar, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb has been designated as an acting judge of the Supreme Court. Justice Ijaz Swati would serve as the acting chief justice of the Balochistan High Court, Justice Junaid Ghaffar as the acting chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, and Justice SM Atiq Shah as the acting chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court.
