Soldier martyred, 12 terrorists killed in Waziristan operation
A Pakistani soldier was martyred during a counter-terrorism operation in North Waziristan on February 5-6. Lance Naik Muhammad Ibrahim, died in a firefight with militants in the Hassan Khel area.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that 12 militants were also killed during the operation. These militants, identified by the ISPR as “Khwarij,” were allegedly responsible for numerous attacks on security forces and civilians.
The ISPR praised 34-year-old Lance Naik Ibrahim’s bravery and sacrifice, highlighting his gallant fight against the militants. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the militants’ location.
A follow-up operation is underway to clear the area of any remaining militants. The ISPR reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to eliminating terrorism.
