Forces kill 10 terrorists in KP: ISPR

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants

Pakistani security forces have killed ten militants in separate operations conducted over two days in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Friday.

The operations, carried out between January 30th and 31st, targeted members of a militant group described by the ISPR as “Khwarij.” In one intelligence-based operation near Khulachi in Dera Ismail Khan district, four militants were killed in an engagement with security forces.

Four additional encounters took place in North Waziristan district, specifically in the areas of Datta Khel, Hassan Khel, Ghulam Khan, and Mir Ali. These encounters resulted in the deaths of six more militants.

The ISPR statement indicated that the militants were actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and civilians.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants. The ISPR added that sanitization operations are ongoing to ensure no remaining militants are present in the affected areas.

The statement emphasized the Pakistani security forces’ commitment to eliminating terrorism within the country.
