Barrister Gohar announces end of talks with govt
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan announced today that the party has ended negotiations with the government.
Following a meeting with Imran Khan, Barrister Khan stated that the PTI founder had unequivocally declared an end to all talks.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, where Mr. Khan is currently detained, Barrister Khan expressed disappointment at the government’s lack of announcement regarding a judicial commission. He relayed Mr. Khan’s statement that the absence of an announcement on a judicial commission today signaled the immediate termination of negotiations.
Barrister Khan further clarified that Mr. Khan had stated there would be no further negotiations with the government. He specified that the proposed commission should consist of three senior judges from either the Supreme Court or the High Court.
