PTI shortens deadline for govt talks even further

The PTI will await a response from the government by January 27

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has shortened its deadline for the government to respond to its demands for negotiations, setting a new final date of January 27. This deadline pertains to the establishment of a judicial commission, a key demand of the PTI.

According to sources, the PTI had previously given a deadline of January 31, set by party chairman Imran Khan, to make the negotiations fruitful.

While a sub-committee has been formed by the government to address PTI’s demands, the party has now significantly reduced the timeframe for a response.

The PTI will await a response from the government by January 27. If the government’s negotiating committee fails to contact the PTI by January 28, the party will consider the talks terminated.

Sources indicate that the government’s negotiating committee has hinted at a formal response by January 28. However, the PTI has made it clear that if none of its demands are met, it will cease further negotiations.
