No one will be allowed to disrupt peace: Army Chief
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir said on Monday that any attempt to disrupt Pakistan’s peace will be met with decisive military force.
During a visit to Peshawar, where he received a security briefing, the COAS emphasized the army’s commitment to combating terrorism, specifically targeting the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
General Munir praised the ongoing counterterrorism operations, highlighting the significant successes achieved by the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in dismantling terrorist networks and thwarting attacks.
He noted the elimination of key terrorist leaders and the disruption of TTP infrastructure.

The COAS’s visit included a briefing attended by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. General Munir lauded the unwavering resolve and sacrifices of the security forces, emphasizing their operational readiness and high morale.
He reiterated the army’s commitment to continuing the fight against terrorism until its complete eradication. The COAS stressed the importance of the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security for Pakistani citizens.
