Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir emphasised the determination of security forces to thoroughly dismantle hostile terrorist networks and eradicate illegal activities, according to a military’s media wing.

In a statement on Friday, the Inter-Services Public Relations said the army chief said this during his visit to Orakzai district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

COAS General Munir met with troops involved in recent counter-terrorism operations in the Tirah Valley and surrounding areas. He received a detailed briefing on the current security landscape, ongoing intelligence-led operations, and various measures being implemented to maintain stability in the merged districts.

During his interactions with officers and soldiers, the COAS commended their high morale and preparedness to effectively address all forms of threats. He reiterated his commitment to defeating terrorist elements and eliminating their illegal activities.

The army chief paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of the army and law enforcement agencies. “The hard-earned peace achieved through the nation’s sacrifices will be preserved at all costs. The sacrifices of our martyrs reinforce our commitment to fight with unwavering dedication and a spirit of sacrifice.”
