PMD warns of intermittent strong winds today in Karachi
The Pakistan Metrological Department has forecasted intermittent strong winds throughout Monday (today). The city is experiencing an increase in cold weather.
The current weather showed that the temperatures in Karachi are at 12 degrees Celsius, although “the feel-like temperature is 10 degrees Celsius” due to the wind chill. The maximum temperature is projected to reach 26 degrees Celsius.
PMD Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz said that nighttime temperatures could drop to single digits starting January 15. Moreover, a system of western winds is anticipated to arrive on January 17, which may lead to a decrease in cold intensity.
The Met Office has also predicted dry conditions, along with a cool night over the next 24 hours.
Humidity levels are reported at 40%, with winds blowing from the northeast at a speed of 9km per hour.
