PTI-govt talks to resume from Thursday
The third round of negotiations between Pakistan’s ruling coalition and the opposition is set to begin on Thursday.
National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has summoned a meeting of both negotiating committees for this purpose.
The meeting, scheduled for 1:30 PM, will take place in the Constitution Room of the Parliament House. It will be an in-camera session.
The meeting was initially scheduled for Wednesday but was put off for a day after some members expressed that they were unavailable.
Speaker Sadiq, who recently returned from a personal trip abroad, is expected to finalize the schedule for the talks following his return.
The upcoming session marks the third attempt at resolving differences between the government and opposition parties.
