A man was shot and killed near Tooba Mosque in Karachi’s Defence area in what police suspect was a robbery attempt gone wrong. The deceased has been identified as Amir.

The man was accompanied by his young son in their car and the incident unfolded in front of the child.

CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing Amir standing near his car when the robbers arrived. The video captures a struggle between the suspects and the victim before shots were fired.

Amir’s 8-year-old son was with him at the time but remained unharmed. However, the assailants shot Amir in front of his child before fleeing the scene.

The CCTV footage shows the young boy cower as his father struggled with the robbers who then shot him dead. The young boy rushes to his father as robbers flee.

Authorities have launched an investigation and are making efforts to apprehend the suspects involved in the tragic killing.

Additional Inspector General (IG) Karachi, Javed Alam Odho, has taken strict notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from SSP South.

Authorities have been ordered to take immediate steps for the swift arrest of the suspects and a thorough investigation into the incident. Special police teams are analyzing CCTV footage to identify and apprehend those responsible.
