The district administration has started an encroachment operation to pave the way for the construction of two flyovers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan.

Flyovers would be built at the Tank Adda and old vegetable market which would improve traffic flow and provide amenities to the citizens, according to the district administration.

At least 27 shops of the Tehsil Municipal Administration located at Tank Adda were demolished during the operation after notices and summons were issued to them.

The assistant commissioner expressed commitment to continuing the anti-encroachment actions without discrimination to ensure the completion of developmental projects.
