Imran willing to stay in jail, will not accept house arrest: Aleema
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan has addressed the media outside Adiala Jail that he has expressed his willingness to remain in jail if necessary, but he will not accept house arrest.
On December 22, Aleema shared that Imran Khan called on overseas Pakistanis to refrain from sending remittances to Pakistan, citing injustices faced by those who contribute financially from abroad.
She outlined two key demands from the PTI:
- The formation of a commission to investigate the incidents of November 26 and May 9.
- The release of PTI members who have been unjustly detained.
She indicated that the party would retract its call if the government agrees to these conditions.
Furthermore, Aleema emphasized Khan’s concerns about the link between Pakistan’s peace and Afghanistan’s stability.
