Indian actress Pragya Nagra posts first picture after alleged video leak
Indian actress Pragya Nagra recently attracted significant attention after unverified videos of her were leaked on social media, sparking controversy. In response, the actress swiftly condemned the malicious use of AI technology to “tarnish her reputation.”
Days later, Pragya made her first social media appearance since the incident, posting a series of photos in a white outfit on Instagram.
She also shared an update about her professional projects, releasing the poster for her film “Laggam,” which is available on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
Nagra, associated with the Malayalam film industry, denied that viral videos were related to her and clarified that artificial intelligence technology was used.
She had urged her followers to disregard the clips, emphasising that they were the result of “malicious technological manipulation.”
“Still in denial, and still hoping that it’s just a bad dream that I will wake up from,” she had said in an Instagram post in reaction to the viral content. “Technology was meant to help us and not make our lives miserable. I can only pity the evil minds who misuse it to create such AI content and the people who help spread it!”

Pragya, who comes from a Punjabi family in Haryana, has made a name for herself in South Indian cinema, particularly in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries. She initially pursued an engineering degree in Delhi, where her interest in modeling blossomed, leading her to start her career in advertising.
She was involved in the National Cadet Corps and had aspirations of joining the armed forces at one point in her life. Throughout her career, Pragya has appeared in several films, including “Varalaru Mukkiyam,” “N4,” and “Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna,” among others.
