Imran, Bushra formally charged in Toshakhana case
A special court in Islamabad has charged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, in the Toshakhana-II case.
Khan was produced before the court, while Bibi appeared with her lawyer. Both pleaded not guilty.
The case, initially investigated by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), was transferred to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) following amendments to the NAB Ordinance.
The FIA submitted the charge sheet to the court in September 2024, after completing its investigation.
The court has summoned prosecution witnesses to record their statements on December 18. This marks a significant development in the ongoing Toshakhana case.
