Private school principal arrested for ‘sexually abusing female teachers’

The Sheikhupura police arrested on Sunday a private school principal for allegedly sexually abusing female teachers and students.

The suspect reportedly filmed the abuse using hidden cameras and sold the videos abroad.

Following the viral spread of these videos on social media, the B Division police in Sheikhupura raided the premises and arrested the principal.

The private school was located in a rented building on Mirza Warkan Road. In light of the incident, the landlord has vacated the premises while the local community expressed outrage and grief over the situation.

The police have expanded their investigation and are expecting further revelations. Teams have been formed to reach out to the affected women to gather more information and support them in the process.

According to a first information report, the CCTV footage clips of the suspect doing indecent activities with unidentified women have gone viral on social media and different WhatsApp groups.

“The suspect can be visible in the leaked clips from the school’s office,” it said.

The FIR invoked sections 509 (insulting modesty or causing sexual harassment), 292 (sale, etc., of obscene books, etc), 293 (sale, etc., of obscene objects to young person), 294 (keeping lottery office), and 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The complaint was also registered under sections 21 (cyber stalking) and 22 (spamming) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Prevention Act, 2016.
