PMD forecasts rain and thunder in multiple parts of Pakistan
The Meteorological Department has announced a forecast of rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in various parts of the country.
While most areas are expected to remain dry and cold, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are predicted to experience cloudy weather, strong winds, and rainfall, along with the possibility of snowfall in the mountains.
In Punjab’s plains, an increase in smog and fog is anticipated during the morning and evening hours. Meanwhile, Islamabad and surrounding regions are expected to have dry weather, although it will remain cold in the mornings and evenings.
Most districts in Punjab are likely to see dry conditions; however, smog and fog are expected to intensify in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Jhelum, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, Hafizabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and nearby areas during the early and late hours.
In Sindh, dry weather is anticipated across most districts, but smog and fog may develop in the mornings in Kashmore, Sukkur, Tando Jam, and surrounding areas.

Weather to remain cold and cloudy during next 24 hours in the country
Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, and Kohistan are expected to experience cloudy conditions, strong winds, and rain with thunder, as well as snowfall in the mountainous regions.
In Kashmir, cold and dry weather is forecasted, while Gilgit-Baltistan is likely to see cloudy weather, strong winds, rain, and potential snowfall in the mountains.
Balochistan’s districts are expected to remain mostly dry, although cold weather is predicted for the mornings and evenings in Quetta and the province’s hilly areas.
