Two Chinese nationals injured in Karachi shooting
Two Chinese nationals were shot and injured on Tuesday in Karachi, Pakistan’s commercial center, according to police and hospital officials. This incident follows a series of attacks that have led Beijing to demand increased security for its citizens.
Faizan Ali, a senior superintendent of police, confirmed that two Chinese nationals were shot but did not provide additional details. A spokesperson for Liaquat National Hospital reported that both individuals were being treated, with one in serious condition.
According to Aaj News, the bullets were fired by a security guard.
It remains unclear who was behind the attack or whether it was linked to militant violence.
