Shutdown of all education institutions in Lahore proposed for three days

The proposal also suggests implementing a “green lockdown” in Gulberg

A proposal has been submitted to close all educational institutions – schools, colleges, and universities – in Lahore on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to mitigate the severe smog affecting the city.

The proposal also suggests implementing a “green lockdown” in Gulberg and surrounding areas.

Sources indicate that the proposed green lockdown area may also include Liberty, MM Alam Road, and the Main Market, in addition to areas already under consideration near the Shimla Hills.

The proposals will be presented to Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb by the Commissioner of Lahore Division and the Secretary of Environment.
