Maryam admitted to Sharif Medical City due to throat infection
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has fallen ill, delaying her planned departure for London.
While initially scheduled to leave for London tonight, her overseas trip is now contingent upon medical clearance.
Party sources report that Ms. Nawaz was admitted to the Sharif Medical City Complex after experiencing a deterioration in her health.
Hospital sources indicate that she is suffering from a throat infection and has been advised by her doctors to rest.
The Chief Minister underwent a medical checkup at the complex to assess her condition. Her departure for London will now depend entirely on her doctors’ assessment of her fitness to travel.
