Forces kill 9 terrorists in Khyber
Pakistani security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur District, eliminating nine foreign terrorists, including two suicide bombers, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced today.
The operation, conducted overnight between October 23 and 24, targeted a hideout based on intelligence received regarding the presence of foreign militants.
A firefight ensued between security forces and the terrorists, resulting in the death of all nine militants.
Among the dead are two suicide bombers and a high-value target, identified as Saeed, also known as Qureshi Ustad, a wanted foreign terrorist leader. A significant quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the terrorists’ possession.
According to the ISPR, the slain terrorists were involved in multiple acts of terrorism against security forces and civilians.
A clearance operation is ongoing to ensure no other militants remain in the area. The ISPR statement emphasized the Pakistani security forces’ unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.
