Indian actress Triptii Dimri responds to claims of missing Jaipur event
Indian actress Triptii Dimri’s media team spokesperson has dismissed allegations made by the Women Entrepreneurs of FICCI FLO in Jaipur, claiming that she fulfilled all her professional obligations during the promotional activities for her upcoming film, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
“Notably, she did not participate or commit to participate in any personal appearances or events beyond her promotional duties,” said the statement.
The Animal actor faced criticism from event organisers who allege she skipped an event after reportedly charging 550,000 Indian rupees, according to media reports.
Videos on social media showed that a group of women expressed their anger over Dimri’s alleged absence from the event.
Organisers expressed their frustration over the Qala actor’s absence and announced plans to file a police complaint against her. One attendant was seen vandalising a poster of the actress, which drew cheers from the crowd.
In a video, a woman criticised Triptii, saying, “No one will watch her movies. They make commitments but don’t show up; they need to learn time management. What big celebrity is she? No one even knows her name. We came to see who she is, and until now, nobody knows her. She is not worth being called a celebrity.” Another attendee added that Jaipur should boycott Triptii Dimri.
On the professional front, Triptii Dimri is set to appear in the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video alongside Rajkummar Rao. She is also slated to feature in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, sharing the screen with Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan.
But her team clarified that the actress did not take extra fees. “It’s important to clarify that no additional fees or payments were accepted for her involvement in these activities,” it said.
