Couple killed in the name of honour in Bahawalnagar
A young couple was murdered in Bahawalnagar, Punjab, in what police are investigating as an honour killing.
Tayyaba Fatima and Naeem Abbas, who married two months ago against the wishes of Fatima’s family, were ambushed and shot dead by five people, including Fatima’s father and brother.
The attack, which occurred in the Fakirowali area, also resulted in injuries to the couple’s three-year-old daughter, Manahil.
According to reports, Naeem Abbas was previously married. After the shooting, the assailants fled the scene.

Rescue teams transported the bodies and the injured child to Haroonabad Tehsil Hospital. Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the suspects.
