Gandapur releases funds to mobilise bar associations against federal govt
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has declared a stand against the federal government, with Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur directing the Insaf Lawyers Forum to take action.
In a significant move, the KP government has also announced a grant of Rs24 crore for bar associations.
Sources reveal that the government is also planning to recruit government employees within these associations.
Chief Minister Gandapur has instructed the bar associations to send resolutions to the federal government regarding false cases. He has urged them to demand evidence for these alleged false cases.

This development comes amidst growing tensions between the KP government and the federal government. The move by the KP government is seen as a direct challenge to the federal government’s authority.
The Insaf Lawyers Forum, a body of lawyers affiliated with the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, is expected to play a key role in this confrontation.
