Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has announced the birth of a baby girl, his fourth child, born outside of his marriage to wife of 21 years, Jordyn Blum.

In an Instagram post, Grohl, 55, expressed his commitment to being a “loving and supportive parent” to his new daughter. He also acknowledged the impact of this situation on his family, stating that he is “doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

While Grohl did not disclose the identity of the child’s mother, he emphasized the importance of respecting all children involved as they move forward. The post has been met with an outpouring of support from fans, but Grohl has disabled comments on his Instagram.

Grohl and Blum, a former TV producer and model, have been married since 2003 and share three daughters: Violet Maye (18), Harper Willow (15), and Ophelia Saint (10).

Grohl was previously married to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997. Their divorce followed Grohl’s admission of infidelity during the marriage.

Grohl gained fame as the drummer for the iconic grunge band Nirvana from 1990 until 1994, when lead singer Kurt Cobain tragically passed away. He went on to form Foo Fighters, achieving critical and commercial success with numerous chart-topping albums, including their most recent release, “But Here We Are” (2023).
