Massive traffic jams in Karachi as residents protest electricity outage

Traffic police have advised citizens to use alternative routes

Residents of Punjab Colony in Karachi have taken to the streets in protest against prolonged water and electricity outages, causing major traffic disruptions in the city.

Protesters have blocked both roads in the area, leading to gridlock and delays for commuters heading to work this morning.

The protests have caused significant traffic congestion on Mai Kolachi Road, Boat Basin, Teen Talwar, and Do Talwar, with long queues of vehicles reported.

Traffic police have advised citizens to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

Meanwhile, residents of Railway Colony near II Chundrigar Road and Shaheen Complex are also protesting against power outages in the area.

Traffic police have diverted traffic from Khajoor Chowk towards Aiwan-e-Sadar Road, from MR Kayani Chowk towards SM Law College and Jang Press, and from Tower towards Shaheen Chowk to SM Law College via Jang Press.
