Explosion rocks New Sabzi Mandi in Karachi
An explosion rocked the New Sabzi Mandi in Karachi on Monday, injuring atleast one person.
Police is still determining the nature of the explosion.
The blast shattered windows of surrounding stores and buildings, damaged numerous vehicles and motorcycles, and narrowly missed a security guard stationed outside a bank.
Police rushed to the scene immediately after the explosion, which is believed to have occurred in a sewage drain beneath a private bank in the vegetable market.
The blast caused the floor above the drain to collapse, and a motorcycle was thrown onto the roof of a nearby car.

CCTV footage of the explosion shows a cloud of dust rising as the blast occurred. Police are investigating the cause of the explosion, but initial reports suggest it may have been caused by a gas leak. The blast triggered panic and a stampede in the area.
