Gas pipeline blown up by unknown men in Mach

A gas pipeline was destroyed by an explosion in the Mach area of Balochistan, disrupting gas supplies to various regions including Quetta.

According to the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) sources, a 24-inch diameter gas pipeline passing through the Bolan area of Balochistan was targeted and blown up by unknown perpetrators at the Kohbash area.

The incident is being investigated through different angles as it may be an act of terrorism, Pakistan Levies reported.

The sources further state that after the completion of security clearance in the area, the repair work on the affected gas pipeline will commence, and it may take more than 48 hours to complete.

According to the SSGC (Sui Southern Gas Company) spokesman Safdar Hussain, the company immediately started the repair work on the damaged gas pipeline.

Hussain further stated that the team on the ground has focused its efforts on repairing the pipeline as soon as possible, with the aim of restoring the gas supply by the next evening.
