Deputy Inspector General of Police South Syed Asad Raza stated that Hassan, 40, was driving when he collided with a footpath near a traffic signal. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Senior Superintendent of Police South Sajid Sadozai indicated that speeding was a likely cause of the accident, noting significant damage to the front of the vehicle.

This incident follows the death of another journalist in July, who was killed when a fuel tank detached from a tanker and overturned on the Baloch Colony flyover in Karachi.

The prime suspect of the accident, Natasha Danish, got bail earlier this week after the counsel to the victims’ family said that they had pardoned them and removed their objections.
